His wife, Asha, too was a working woman. His hard work… Show more In last 10 years of our experience in securing lives and giving financial freedoms, we came across several unforgettable experiences. They predominantly played a major role in helping us improve the attitude of people about savings in a better way. If you allow I would like to share some of the experiences with you here.The other day, I met Mr. Nachiket Gupta. He was in his early thirties working in an MNC and a father to twin babies. His wife, Asha, too was a working woman. His hard work got him promotion and hike in pay too. He immediately applied for housing loan and booked a 2BHK flat in Panvel area. He also bought a new car on installment basis. More than half of their incomes went in loan installments. I tried to convince and warn Nachiket about the serious situation they might encounter if they do not buy insurance. However, he laughed at the thought that he was too young to die. One day, I received news from Asha that Nachiket lost his job due to recession in the market. Asha and Nachiket equally contributed to the loan installments. It was becoming difficult to make the ends meet. This was not enough, that Asha met with an accident and was no more. Nachiket was shattered. He was burdened under heavy loan and the responsibility of little twins. His letter box frequently received notices from banks and credit card companies. He almost sold everything he had. When I received the news, I told him how I had convinced Asha to buy an insurance Rs. 50 Lakh tacitly when he had refused to buy policy. I apologized him for it however he was overwhelmed with gratitude after learning what I had done. The insurance claim saved his home, car and his children’s future too. This story has been an eye opener for many. It feels sad to see how today’s generation do not believe in savings. I always make sure that at least one person in the family is adequately insured, so that come what may, the family remains financially secured. Show less
