About Amit Pujari
Amit is a biomedical engineer and a neuroscientist with over 15 years of experience in medical device development and Neurorehabilitation engineering. Amit is currently an Associate Professor (Reader) of Biomedical Engineering at University of Hertfordshire, where he leads a Neu(RAL)2: NeuRAL Systems & Rehabilitation and Assistive Technologies Laboratory. He is currently Royal Academy of Engineering (RAEng) Industrial Fellow and previously held RAEng/Leverhulme Trust Research Fellowship, working on developing novel noninvasive devices for stroke and spinal injury recovery.Amit has a unique and diverse background, having worked in healthcare, industry, and academia across different countries. He studied and collaborated with some of the world's top institutions in biomedical engineering/neuroscience, including Strathclyde, Aberdeen, Leeds, and Alberta. Amit is a Chartered Engineer (CEng), a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA), and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts (FRSA) and Member of the UK Young Academy. Amit's mission is to apply his engineering and neuroscience skills to improve the quality of life and mobility of people with disabilities and chronic conditions.
