• Was responsible for all aspects of the technical support operations, including monitoring and troubleshooting LAN, WAN, and Microsoft Networks• Provided in-depth troubleshooting of storage servers and systems to ensure the highest product quality, including technical and process support for Alpha and Storage products.• Acquired expert knowledge of core PC technology by extensive assembly, debugging & repair of desktop computers; Repaired component level hardware and assisted with server assembly • Triaged and resolved internal and external (customer) quality concerns • Performed hardware/software QA in extreme lab simulations to test machine tolerance• Led client and school tours of the manufacturing and QA facility; became an expert in all phases of the assembly and QA lines in order to speak authoritatively to tour groups• Managed a 40-member team (directly) and an 85-member team (indirectly) in the remanufacturing line, including resource scheduling, work shift planning, and mentoring and training for new hires. • Performed final pack audit for assembled products and took immediate corrective action on the line as needed. • Developed, implemented and documented new manufacturing processes to improve product fulfillment qualityMajor Accomplishments:• The quality and customer satisfaction group originally suffered an 80% fallout rate for customers not receiving their system as ordered. I was tasked with observing and learning all stages of the manufacturing, assembly and shipping process, and identifying areas for quality improvement. After locating several problem areas, assessing and redesigning instruction manuals, and adding new audit stations, I quickly succeeded in reducing the failure rate to 50%. With more training, it dropped even further to an average of 10-15%.
