After I enlisted in the Navy, I graduated from Nuclear School and became one of the first women assigned to an aircraft carrier. The level of change resistance was high; I cut my problem-solving “teeth” by figuring out how to be allowed to do my job and learning how to persevere in the face of adversity. My genuine desire to help others succeed drives me to make a difference in everything I do.CAREER HIGHLIGHTS:• Helped to write a career exploration curriculum (MyPACE) which was implemented at all 120 Job Corps centers. Since MyPACE was implemented, nearly 80,000 students have created individualized career plans. • Designed the process that monitors the implementation of MyPACE by the centers, ensuring that almost all students registered with a Job Corps service center developed a viable career plan within the first 60 days after enrollment, increasing their completion rate from 84% to 96%
