CurrentMy practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, business and transactional counseling and strategic partnerships and alliances. I have significant experience representing public and private corporations, private equity funds and venture capital groups. I regularly represent a Fortune 100 company headquartered in Orange County with M&A transactions, a large private equity fund based in New York, an industry-leading venture capital group located in Orange County and a family fund focused on domestic and international industry-specific investments.I have worked in-house at the corporate headquarters of two then-Fortune 1000 companies. My first secondment was at Collective Brands, Inc., the then-parent company of Payless ShoeSource, Stride Rite and several other shoe brands, where I assisted the general counsel and senior transactions counsel with numerous cross-border transactions. My following secondment was at CoreLogic, Inc. (NYSE:CLGX), where I worked with the assistant general counsel on both transactional and securities matters.My experience also encompasses serving as “outside general counsel” to several companies, including charity:water, a nonprofit organization based in New York devoted to bringing clean and safe drinking water to people in developing nations.I have taught at the University of California-Irvine's International Business Law program, including courses in Foreign Direct Investments and Effective Deal Making.I am currently a member of the Firm's Global Diversity & Inclusion Action Board and the Co-Leader of the Firm's US Lawyers of Color.
