Tara Valley Nursery is one of Australia’s most progressive wholesale plant nurseries. From their inception a decade ago, Tara Valley has strived to embrace the newest trends in horticulture to produce superior plants with cutting edge technology.Their products are sold in many of the finest retail plant nurseries in Australia. In addition to the Patio Orchard Collection, some of their other popular ranges are: The Berrylicious Range, The Living Architecture Range, Collector’s Edition Cordylines, and the Rare Treasures series.Tara Valley has 14 environmentally controlled growing houses utilising a range of both passive and complex control systems. With this number of individually controlled growing environments, there are very few crops that cannot be accommodated in the nursery.Tara Valley is in partnership with Primary Plants Pty Ltd and houses an onsite tissue culture laboratory. This lab is used to produce large quantities of plants that are either new or for which it may be difficult to source conventional propagation material.

The National Fire Ant Eradication Program is Australia’s largest biosecurity eradication initiative. The aim of our 10-year Eradication Plan is to reduce the size of the infestation in South East Queensland using a staged, rolling treatment strategy. The program operates under the guidance of an independently chaired National Steering The Queensland Biosecurity Act 2014 and the Biosecurity Regulation 2016 aim to protect Queensland from biosecurity threats that could adversely impact Queenslanders. To ensure transparency and accountability, we produce regular reports on how we are tracking in our effort to eradicate fire ants.
