Amit Modi is a Managing Director with Alvarez & Marsal Transaction Advisory Group in New York. Mr. Modi specializes in providing buy and sell-side financial due diligence services for private equity and strategic buyers. Mr. Modi brings experience working across several industries including distribution, consumer products, manufacturing, retail, automotive, restaurants, business services, and advertising among others.Mr. Modi provides buy-side and sell-side services focusing on quality of earnings, working capital requirements, off-balance sheet exposures, purchase price considerations, and general knowledge of companies‘ operations and finance functions. Mr. Modi has diverse experience in leveraged buyouts, divestitures, complex carve-out, bolt-on, and cross-border transactions. On sell-side transactions, Mr. Modi specializes in preparing companies for the sale process and developing sell-side diligence reports to maximize value at every point in the transaction lifecycle. Before A&M, Mr. Modi was with PwC, where he served in the M&A Transaction Services Group in New York. While at PwC, he worked on Apollo, Cerberus, & strategic corporate buy-side deals as well as on Fortune 500 multinational corporate carve-outs and divestitures. Before his time at PwC, he served with Deloitte’s audit and assurance practice primarily working on the audits for KKR and Lord Abbett mutual funds.Mr. Modi earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the Lubin School of Business at Pace University where he graduated Cum Laude in 3 years. Mr. Modi is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the state of New York.
