As an Event Promoter, I promoted weekly club nights at the popular venues in town including Fat Sams and Liquid & Envy Dundee. Managing Events, PR, Marketing and Social Media for Fat Sams Dundee.Working for one of Scotland’s biggest nightclubs, I made my way up the ladder to serve as a Public Relations & Events Manager. I was responsible for ticket sales, PR, staff training and review as well as designing and running club nights independently. Key responsibilities included:Operating Fat Sams social media outlets including facebook, twitter and e-mail.Managing Guest lists, bulk-sales and loyalty schemes.Analyzing competitor activities and advising senior management on possible issues and market updates.Involved in organizing and putting together high profile events.Working in teams to brainstorm and develop publicity and print media design and production.

As President, I led the International Students Society at Dundee University for two Years in which it became the largest and most active student group on campus holding events every week. We won the prestigious ‘Best Society of the Year’ award at the Annual Students Union Awards in 2011. During this time we organized over 40 different events including trips & tours, dinners, fundraisers, bake-sales, theme nights and campaigns. I also worked alongside various University departments to support international students. Activities undertaken included:Leading a executive committee and a team of volunteers to successfully deliver high-quality customer service during all events and activities.Liaising with local businesses and other third parties to generate sponsorships.Running publicity campaigns via social media sites like Twitter and Facebook which was largest amongst any student group in Dundee.

During the summers, I worked with a custom clearing company based in London, dealing with imports at Heathrow Airport. General office administrative tasks included:Dealing with current and prospective clients.Maintaining effective communication with ground-staff and resolving any problems.Working on spreadsheets and other data-management software.

I actively participated in student politics during my time at the University of Dundee and was elected numerous times on key positions within the representative structure.
