Communicate with suppliers to determine stock availability, pricing, lead times, status of overdues. resolving invoice queries and delivery errors. With over 65 vendors to manage and several thousand SKU, the challenge was to attain maximum OTIF and to minimise overdues as per KPI’s.

Within the role of shift manager, I was responsible for ensuring that staff and equipment were utilised in an efficient and effective manner in order to achieve maximum utilisation, ensure quality standards were maintained, ensure customer service levels were met, H&S procedures adhered to, and housekeeping standards improved. This included:• Recruitment and training for new staff.• Analysis of team skill matrix and identifying opportunities/skills deficiencies• Appraisal for upto 20 staff members• Taking disciplinary action when required• Full site responsibility on nights and weekends• Making a poor performing shift into the best shiftThrough this role and my role as cover for Planning/Scheduling I liaised with many people across the business to discuss and resolve issues that may arise. I have also driven through several shop floor improvements. In 2012 I attended the Essentra MDP1 training course which led to my role change into Supply Planning.
