 Root Cause/Failure Analysis for complex chemical process machinery and instrumentation Assist in the development of preventive and predictive maintenance strategies (PM/PdM) for equipment : - Development of an asset ranking list to identify critical equipment in plant operations - Pareto charts to identify downtime hours and financial impact for critical assets and failure modes Prepare Management of Change Package to facilitate the installation, modification or decommissioning of assets and equipment in the field Extensive usage of IBM Maximo asset management tool to:- Track down inventory details including technical specifications and manufacturer/model- Examine work orders, log and material history for information on past modifications to equipment- Enter service requests for a change to be approved by Supervisor- Enter purchase requisitions for acquisition of equipment, tools and services- Identification of operating/decommissioned asset details including technical specifications and location in plant Field walk downs and inspections to identify assets, label equipment to be decommissioned as well as validation of piping and asset configuration in the field vis a vis process and instrumentation drawings Verification of actual DCS marshalling panel configuration in MCC vis a vis plant electrical drawings Preparation of monthly reliability report consisting of asset mean time between failure, mean time to repair, monthly up time/ availability using information generated from automated system as well as supervisor/operator shift logs 3-D Modelling of the plant building and piping using Google sketchup Emergency Response Cart Design and FEA analysis with assistance from Engineering Department Liaising with vendors and OEM for purchase of new equipment and troubleshooting of existing asset/instrument issues
