About Ammar Abdo
My primary research interests include neuroprosthetics, brain computer interface, neural stimulation applications, and study the neural mechanisms of of higher order cognitive functions such as flexible decision-making. Over the past 7 years, I have developed expertise in neurophysiological recordings from non-human primates and rodents as well as in neural signal processing and analysis. Also, I have been testing a novel method for wireless neurostimulation in the CNS using optically activated microstimulators in the NIR wavelengths.Specialties: • Neuroprosthetics• Brain computer interface• Neural stimulation applications• Study the Neural Mechanisms of higher order cognitive functions
