A brief overview of the position:• Spearheading and supervising the finance department in planning and day-to-day operations. • Analyzing the financial performance of all divisions by calculating key financial metrics and conducting variance analysis, with a focus on identifying risks and opportunities.• Developed multiple financial models to provide insight into revenue management and cost optimization.• Evaluating capital budgeting projects through NPV, IRR and Payback Period to facilitate the top management in investment decision making.• Scrutinizing and managing cash flow positions to meet ongoing operational and capital investment requirements.• Supporting the CEO in strategic business analysis by evaluating business line performance and conducting cost-benefit analysis of various product offerings.• Managing company specific risks by ensuring appropriate internal controls, along with strict compliance with tax and legal requirements.• Actively engaged with financial institutions in arranging/structuring credit facilities to meet working capital and project financing requirements.• Monitoring and managing investments in debt and money market in line with company investment policy.• Prepare/review legal contracts and purchase agreements to safeguard the firm’s financial and contractual obligation.

• Conduct detailed financial statement analysis of member microfinance institutes to facilitate stakeholders in investment decisions and developing policy guidelines.• Forecasting growth in microfinance outreach by performing quantitative analysis of financial and economic data.• Preparing Comparative Performance Reports to benchmark key performance indicators of the Pakistan microfinance sector with regional markets.• Spearheading PMN’s Risk Management Initiative under its mission of promoting sustainable growth and institutional strengthening of microfinance players. • Managing and leading PMN’s Risk Management Working Group to dilate ideas and agree on policy decisions to be advocated to the regulatory authorities.• Conceptualized and developed a comprehensive model for identification and assessment of key risk indicators (operational and strategic). The model was implemented by a number of microfinance institutes.• Developed a management reporting system for effective tracking of financial and outreach indicators of the microfinance sector, improving reporting time and accuracy.• Worked on a number of projects with public and private entities (local and international) to promote financial inclusion in the country.
