For their program 'Play City', I worked as a consultant to provide design solutions to tranform municipal school grounds into sustainable sports pitches and regenerative spaces for the community. The work involved;Mapping & documentation of around 20 municipal schools and grounds in Mumbai & developing sustainable sports facilities using natural materials.Collaborating with vendors to incorporate renewable energy and sustainable systems such as PV panels, vertical gardens and composting, rainwater-harvesting in the design retrofit.Preliminary assessment of the proposal for reduced ground temperatures using microclimate studies.Developing interactive games and workbooks for students to involve them in the decision making process and increase their awareness regarding climate change. Worked as a teaching assistant for the Architectural Design Studio of the fifth year headed by Praveen Bavadekar of ThirdSpace Design Studio. The studio titled 'Architecture for Change' questioned how architecture can embrace change as a necessary condition. It looked at the Hall of Nations (a recently demolished historical public building) as a vehicle, to enquire the ideas of preservation by adapting it to the present and integrating it with new addition through various design alternatives.
