What would I write in my memoir at the end of my working life ? Will it be a story worth reading ? Will it offer some encouragement or guidance to someone who has just begun their career? This is the question I ask myself. Well, this is me. My career over 21 years has taken me from Mumbai to Singapore & now in Pune. From the grueling travel to work daily in Mumbai during initial years at ICICI bank & JP Morgan to the comfortable Subways & Plush offices in Singapore over 11 years in offices of Barclays Capital, Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS), Credit Suisse and then working in Office-Home mix at my own venture MYNEWCAR.IN with frequent travels between Pune-Mumbai-Bangalore, it has been an eventful journey thus far. Each day brings forth new challenges and opportunities which I love. Mynewcar is growing leap & bounds and so is my journey. A Chartered Accountant & Certified Treasury Manager by academics. Managed APAC level projects in RBS (ledger integration, trade finance, reconciliations, Basel 3), supporting global business heads in business strategy (Financial Planning & Analytics) at Barclays and running the show at MYNEWCAR across all departments has exposed me to all forms of management and at all levels from internal stakeholders to external Vendors & Shareholders.I have been lucky enough to fulfil my hobbies alongside. From travelling across South East Asia & Europe, to trying my hands at brewing Beer and playing Badminton semi-professionally, it has definitely added to my patience, perseverance and an understanding of people & behaviour.As Co-Founder of Mynewcar, I am lucky enough to be working with a dedicated and enthusiastic team to scale business and deliver value to my customers & stakeholders. The market is ripe with opportunities and one has to stay committed and find a way through the posing challenges. Hope what I have achieved to date and my plans for the future will be an exciting read !
