1] Responsible for and plans, organizes and manages the procurement process at mid level for refinery, petrochemical, Power & pharmaceutical projects. 2] Ensures that the procurement process is in adherence to company and client requirements, company policies and procedures to ensure successful delivery of project requirements. 3] Interface with other internal departments and vendors for all matters related to the procurement of Projects materials, equipments and services scope. 4] Develop in conjunction with Project Procurement Managers/Coordinators the Project Procurement Plan and Execution Strategy for individual Projects. 5] Handle and manage Project RFQ’s, commercial evaluations, PO award and PO administration to final delivery and PO close out. Oversees all Procurement activities associated with the effective purchasing of Project requirements by the Procurement Department in accordance with Project or end user schedules, specifications and budgets. 6] Ensure procurement processes are initiated and give instructions to maintained data in Company’s ERP/SAP systems; asses upgrade requirements to the current ERP/SAP systems and take a lead role in setting development requirements. 7] As Lead/Sr. engineer, when assigned on projects, responsible for managing the team of engineers, designers, and delivering the engineering requirements of the project as listed in the responsibilities section above.8] Completely involved in Purchase Cycle like Floating Enquiry, Techno-Commercial Discussions, Negotiations, releasing Purchase Orders & related amendments. 1] Ensuring that the design is carried out as per the industry std. practices & in conformance with the QMS. 2] Document Control: Development/update of the Register with accurate progress information on a regular basis. 3] Providing technical/procurement/inspection support [C&I, piping, electrical] to site engineers to resolve queries. 4] Assisting in the preparation of project proposals and pre-qualification bidding documents. 5] Identification of issues that impede project progress and reporting to Project Managers and Discipline Heads. 6] Assimilating the evolution of new techniques & technology, and updating oneself on the latest international standards in terms of engineering design practices and their applications; 7] Identifying new methodology of work process required for higher engineering constructions and productivity. 8] Floating & generating enquiry in market (Vendors) as per technical specifications given by engineering team & preparing comparison analysis of the prices received by various vendors. Studying enquiries generated documents and preparing offers involving cost estimates, assessing new vendors. Checking for deviations with respect to standard products and initiating action.
