Drill core wells and coordinate core study to derive core properties to aid modeling.• Review and coordinate reservoir modeling using external reservoir consulting firm. • Acting as a liaison between SORC and 3rd Party reserves auditor to maintain, update oil and gas Reserves Report.• Performed reserves reconciliation, project economics evaluations and prepare presentations for the board of directors.• Prepare comprehensive and effective technical recommendations including project economics to support Long term budget development of multiple fields and zone targets.• Perform reservoir and production data surveillance to monitor well performance and make recommendations to optimize well performance and field development accordingly to assist field development and budget.• Prepare production forecasts, operating plans, expenditure forecasts, etc. and evaluate economic models for asset valuations and budget preparation.• Organize and maintain well and field data information (database) to establish reserve revisions as appropriate for quarterly reporting along and year end reserve audit.• Present project proposals and post appraisal of results to Sr. Management on a regular basis.
Manager-Unconventional Resources
In my capacity as a Manager for Unconventional Resources, I conducted a comprehensive study exploring and analyzing gas-reinjection as a means of reducing gas flaring and venting. Managed all phases of a study, analyzed a depleted oil reservoir to evaluate ROIP, identified reservoir performance issues, and suggested economical solutions. Additionally, I interfaced with and manage consulting geologists, geophysicists, and petroleum engineers to digitalize, analyze logs, and derive saturations, porosities, and OOIP; drill core wells and coordinate core study to derive core properties to aid modeling. My duties and accomplishments include the following: Acted as a liaison between SORC and third-party reserves auditor to maintain and update oil and gas reserves reports. Accurately reviewed and coordinated reservoir modeling through an external reservoir consulting firm, including performing reserves reconciliation and project economics evaluations and preparing presentations for the board of directors. Prepared production forecasts, operating plans, expenditure forecasts, including evaluating economic models for asset valuations and budget preparation and supporting long-term budget development of multiple fields and zone targets. Maintained well and field data information to establish reserve revisions as appropriate for quarterly reporting. Effectively presented various project proposals and posted appraisal of results to senior management on a regular basis.
Reservoir Engineer Iii
For about three years, I achieved the following:Reservoir Planning, Forecasting & CO2 Management Balanced C)2 Switch List based on field supply and demand for CO2, managed CO2 utilization based on GOR surveillance, formulated Pattern Activation for 5-year Long Range Plan (LRP), and used proprietary KMWAG software to history-match and forecast wells.Field Experience Performed cement squeeze, including the use of cement bailer, perforation, sub pump, rain injection profile (vertical/horizontal well), surface stimulation job using coil tubing, flow master to test tubing leak, and collar strip depth logging for perforation.AFE for Development of FIRST Horizontal Injectors in Southwest Portion of SACROCResearched and assisted with writing By-passed Pay Horizontal AFE to drill a 6500 ft., multistage acid fractured horizontal injection well through a section of the low permeable, OOIP-rich information, including designing ESP and the associated VSDs for the 12 wells. Efficiently utilized Wellbore and Diagram well files, PETRA logs, well interconnectivity, and production data of wells within the patterns, determined the injectors and total of 12 producers to be included in AFE.Surveillance & Prospect Evaluation Monitored production data, CO2 injection rates, and intake pressure data to identify CO2 breakthrough on 12 patterned producers surrounding a horizontal injector, including evaluating and documenting for future development of projects. Collaborated with CO2 Managers to develop a process through a proprietary software application to perform CO2 EOR planning.Well Work Consistently increased injection support and disposal capacity on 20 stacked out water injectors, wrote procedures, and ran an economic analysis to clean them out using coil tubing, which resulted in the increase of incremental return to 30,000 BWIPD.
Production Engineer Ii
In my role as a Production Engineer II, I engineered production optimization, surveillance, AFE to Harvest CO2 in SACROC, reserves allocation, and CO2 pattern allocations.
