Configuration Management Analyst - responsible for change control and status accounting of CMI engineering change packages for piston aircraft engines, including participating in hardware and software change management and processing FAA, class I and II approved changes. Also analyze, verify, record and track engineering data to ensure the accuracy of material, revision level, and location of equipment while resolving discrepancies between as-designed hardware configuration and as-built hardware configuration on engines. Maintain DMS and MRP databases per CMI and FAA guidelines to ensure the accuracy of technical reports. Conduct testing as required for database improvements, and provide solutions for Configuration Management challenges, as well as, coordinate with IT to resolve any discrepancies between databases. Accountable for the creation and maintenance of aircraft engine bill of materials (BOM) and availability of aftermarket spares. Perform additional duties as a Configuration Management Analyst in accordance with CMI and FAA standards for all engine builds including; the research and verification of CAD drawings, Configuration Identification data, Engineering Variance Orders (EVO), Engineering Notice (EN), Engine Specification Change Requests (SCR), Engineering Change Proposals (ECP) and Request For New Engines (RNS) processed through the Configuration Change Board, and the coordination of replacement (substitute) parts for new and rebuilt engine builds. Manage the upgrade and integration of DMS software to support multiple data inputs of cross functional engineering projects. Provide customer support with accurate information on the as-built configuration status of individual engine models/specifications through web configuration databases and web application.
