About Alessandro Morganti
Medical Doctor with a Ph.D. in Healthcare Design from Politecnico di Milano and Stanford University, currently consulting, researching, and teaching with a focus on design for health and neurodiversity. I work between Italy and the US as a Medical Design Research consultant for Healthcare Design projects.Thanks to the Center for Health Design 2023 Sprague Award, I'm working on the realization of evidence-based, autism-friendly spaces, partnering with two major American Healthcare Groups.I've been based in Silicon Valley as a Visiting Research Scholar at Stanford Medicine, conducting mixed methods and UX research for neurodiverse populations, with more than 3000 participants recruited. My passion is for scalable innovations that can improve Healthcare delivery and patients' well-being, empowered by technology and design.In the last 5 years, I mainly focused my experiences in Healthcare Design and the built environment's impact on Public Mental Health, closely working with architects, engineers, clinicians, and managers.I co-founded INCLUD, an award-winning startup that supports designers in building more inclusive and accessible spaces, applying Inclusive Design principles in their projects.I authored and co-authored various scientific and impacted papers, and was awarded 5 awards for the novelty and impact of my research.
