I am a freelance, commentator and writer and have worked in print media, radio, television, and now digital media for over 30 years. Since 2009 I have worked for myself freelance commentating, writing, as a Master of Ceremonies and doing Voiceovers. Prior to this move for fifteen years, my career was split between the commercial world with the positions held in the Travel and Tourism/ Airfreight industries, while simultaneously continuing to pursue my media career.I have produced and directed three documentaries "Standing at the Touchlines" on the FIFA World Cup in South Africa in 2010. "No Apologies" an award-winning film about two Aboriginal girls representing Australia at the Women's World Cup in Germany in 2011. This was voted one of the “Five football documentaries to see before you die” by FourFourTwo magazine in the UK. “Fight in the Dog” tells the story of three Rugby Internationals who all played for the same club, and who all went on to be awarded the Victoria Cross. Another project “Return to your Corner” is currently in production I presented "Not The Footy Show" on 990am Information radio every Wednesday from Sept 2006 - Jan 2015 when the station closed its doors. The show is now available as a regular podcast. The main sports that I have commentated on are: hockey, football, rugby, boxing, cricket, kabaddi, futsal, floorball, badminton and wheelchair basketball.I have had four books published, "The Professor - The Life Story of Azumah Nelson," "Headingley Remembered - A Century of Ashes Cricket," “Australia’s Hockey Grail” and "Please Sir Can I have my Ball back" about testicular cancer. I have provided voiceovers for Shell, YMCA, Geodrill and a number of other international companies, as well as having voiced documentaries and sports highlights.
