Cyber Security (Industrial Control Systems)

Amos led the conceptualization, design, implementation, fabrication, integration and testing of various Electronics sub-systems for various projects, such as Radio Frequency (RF) Sensors to Electro-Optics (EO) sensors for Target Sensing, Localization and Target Tracking for security and surveillance purposes. Completed systems from the projects were deployed in major Singapore Events, and Amos received a total of two awards - one Gold CARES Award, and one CARES Award during his 2 years, 10 months' stint. These systems were also showcased at local and regional exhibitions such as the Singapore Airshow 2018, and the ASEANAPOL Conference Singapore 2017.In another of his projects, Amos implemented Just-In-Time (JIT) loading of "waterfall" images (vertical flow) for a client to view large .xtf files. Original time taken to load a sample .xtf file of around 40MB: 2-3s. JIT loading time: < 0.5s.The file-size of a typical .xtf file can usually go up to hundreds to thousands of MB, which can greatly affect user experience by taking a long time to load. Amos implemented the JIT functionality to provide a hassle-free image viewing experience regardless of the file size, creating value for the stakeholders. Upon joining the team, the project was placed back on track after being behind schedule for more than 8 weeks.

Bootstrapped startup for food delivery at SUTD interim campus and NUS UTown. Developed a ruby-on-rails web application with the following features:1. Proximity-ranked store selection, automated store opening and closing.2. Food Selection and Cart3. Automated SMS notification to store owner and deliveryman upon order4. Automated SMS notification to customer upon delivery5. Back-end store and order management system with tiered access control

Being one of the first campus builders in SUTD, I had the rare opportunity to develop an University Library from scratch, under the guidance of the University Librarian, Julie Sabaratnam. I was in charge of developing the library, from concept to implementation. This includes planning the layout, designing the look and feel, meeting and liaising with contractors and vendors, and lastly, implementing study technologies and library facilities through research and development.
