I am a climate advocate focused on climate change adaptation, circular economy, and disaster risk management. I have over 8 years of experience in programme management and organization development with a particular focus on empowering institutions to better work with young people to advance action on climate. I have served as an advisor in the design of the first UN Youth Climate Summit and supported the design and delivery of the first-ever IRENA Youth Forum. I led the authorship of ‘Adapt for Our Future’ - the first background paper on youth and climate adaptation and led a global youth consultation to produce the Global Youth Call to Action on Adaptation which was delivered to world leaders at the Climate Adaptation Summit 2021. I supported the Global Center on Adaptation to implement a youth strategy that provides knowledge and opportunities needed for young people to accelerate global adaptation action.I believe in the power of communities and locally-led solutions. Hence, I founded the Green Africa Youth Organization (GAYO) where I am leading the establishment of Youth Climate Councils across the Global South and shifting philanthropy to fund locally-led youth movements. At GAYO, I pioneered the first community-led zero waste project in Ghana through community-based enterprise models that build resilience against climate risks, provide green jobs and apply circular economy principles to agriculture and food systems. Previously, I worked as a Business Development Manager and Lead Environmental Consultant for Challenges Group Ghana, where I supported the delivery of business growth and advisory services to a portfolio of over 100 green enterprises in Ghana.
