Team Lead Structural Engineer’s responsibilities will include:- Guiding team to perform simple and complex analysis, design, and documentation of various structures- Revise structural department reports.- Attend technical meeting.- Direct subordinate staff.- Coordinate with planning team for the schedules.Essential Functions & Responsibilities:- Perform design and analysis functions for various structures- Conduct assessments and evaluations of existing structures- Supervise others including but not limited to administrative, technical, and professional staff- Develop solutions to challenges presented by the client within budget, schedule, and projectconstraints- Review designs prepared by others as part of a TQM process- Perform peer reviews, forensic studies and expert reporting and witness services- Manage design structural projects and structural components of non-structural projects

• Modeling structural buildings in different software’s with full design of members and connections betweenthem.• Preparation of IFC drawings with full details of connections.• Preparation of bill of quantities and price estimate as per design of buildings.• Re-designing the buildings according to the required optimization and savings from the customer or thesales department, in a way that does not harm the safety of the facility.• Coordinate and assist the line manager to develop and continuously improve the design review process tomaintain quality of design output.• Perform complex engineering tasks effectively and accurately.• Prepare engineering designs computations, sketches, and review final design of drawings/documents.• Establish the design requirements of the project and monitors the draft/final deliverable for adherence tothese criteria.• Assure design is in conformance with time, cost, schedule, and contractual requirements.• Prepare design specifications, data sheets, and other construction documents.• Assist Engineering Manager in supervising junior engineers.• Review and extracts engineering information from CAD Drawings & Revit.• Working closely on construction plans with clients, architects, and other professionals.• Making sure that projects meet legal guidelines, environmental directives, and health and safetyrequirements.• Giving progress reports to clients and consultants.

• Design according to various design codes such as American, European, Egyptian & other Codes.• Developing design ideas using CAD software.• Working out the loads and stresses on different parts of a structure.• Using computer simulations to create 3D models to predict how steel structures will react under differentconditions.• Inspecting unsafe buildings and recommending options for repairs or demolition.• Preparing Bill of Quantities.• Giving progress reports to senior managers.

- Lead discussion sections, tutorials and laboratory sections.- Teach undergraduate level courses: - Steel Structures (Level 3 & graduation projects). - Project Management (Level 3 & 4 including graduation projects) - Primavera (Level 3 & 4 Laboratories and sections)

- Analyse configurations of the basic structural components of a building or other structure.- Calculate the pressures, stresses and strains that each component, such as a beam or lintel, will -experience from other parts of the structure due to human use or environmental pressures such as weather or earthquakes.- Consider the strength of various materials, e.g. timber, concrete, steel and brick, to see how their inclusion may necessitate a change of structural design.- Liaise with other designers, including architects, to agree on safe designs and their fit with the aesthetic concept of the construction.- Examine structures at risk of collapse and advising how to improve their structural integrity, such as recommending removal or repair of defective parts or rebuilding the entire structure.- Make drawings, specifications and computer models of structures for building contractors.- Work with geotechnical engineers to investigate ground conditions and analyse results of soil sample and in-site tests.- Liaise with construction contractors to ensure that newly erected buildings are structurally sound;apply expert knowledge of the forces that act on various structures.
