IN preparation of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, the SCDL has bee established with the responsibility of making rapid progress in building stadiums and other infrastructure, and ensuring the tournament and its preparations contribute to Qatar's sustainable development. 2017, the Cyber Security Unit has been founded with the mission of unifying national efforts of combating cyber crimes and protecting the national cyberspace. I've been nominated to support the Unit, legally and commercially, with the following responsibilities; • Ensuring compliance with laws, relevant Business Procedures & FIFA requirements.• Ensuring compliance with international legal frames in relation to Privacy and IPR.• Identifying new and emerging legal issues that may affect the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022. • Establishing, enforcing and auditing the “Qatar 2022 Cybersecurity Framework”.• Draft, review, negotiate and manage high value deals.• Providing legal advice on all parts of the business including HR, services, corporate, upstream & downstream procurement, construction, legislation enhancement and international convention.• Coordinating settlements of disputes with third parties including Vendors, suppliers and partners through negotiating settlements & Arbitration.

Aiming towards coordinating and unifying the national efforts to protect Qatari Cyber-Space, I’ve been invited to support in harmonizing legal aspects of combating cybercrime, protecting national critical infrastructure and developing Privacy rules. 2016, I have been asked to participate in the core group which developed the business model for the CSC in order to secure the governmental assets, Critical Infrastructure and combating cyber-Crime. 2017 the CSC has been announced and I’m currently holding the title of General counsel for the CSC. Responsibilities includes: • Draft, Review and Develop anti Cybercrime legislations & negotiate related International Conventions. • Review and develop the National Legal Ecosystems & apply Process Enhancement. • Manage and negotiate multi-billion dollar transactions with high-profile vendors, propose insightful solutions to complex contractual and business problems to drive business expansions • Developing, orchestrating and implementing, in partnership with key stakeholders, strategic outreach for strategies and campaigns to shape the debate and public policy outcomes on issues important to Privacy aspects and safe on-line practice. These issues include Legal ecosystem growth and development, privacy, IPR protection, competition law, market access. • Establishing, enforcing and auditing the “Qatar 2022 Cybersecurity Framework”. • Identifying new and emerging legal issues that may affect National Interests. Coordinating with internal and external legal and non-legal expert resources, as necessary, to help analyze and address such issues in the implementation of the National strategies. • Assisting in ensuring compliance with laws and relevant Business Procedures (e.g. Privacy, Corporate reporting, Anti-Bribery restrictions, Governance, Business ethics compliance procedures…etc.).

Scope of responsibilities:                                                                      • Legally responsible for protecting the Technology investments with approximately 1.2 billion EGP budget per year.Developing, orchestrating and implementing, in partnership with key stakeholder groups, strategic outreach strategies and campaigns to positively shape the debate and public policy outcomes on issues important to the technology department and the R&D team. These issues include Legal ecosystem growth and development, privacy, ICT security, intellectual property rights protection, competition law and market access.Identifying new and emerging legal issues that may affect Company’s businesses in Egypt. Coordinating with internal and external legal and non-legal expert resources, as necessary, to help analyze and address such issues in the implementation of the company’s business strategies.Assisting in ensuring companies compliance with laws and relevant Group Procedures (e.g. Corporate reporting, Anti-Bribery restrictions, Governance, Business ethics compliance procedures…etc).Leading contract negotiation teams in high value contracts, global deals and critical cases.

Scope of responsibilities:                                                                      • Enhance productivity, legal knowledge & support junior property contracts controllers in different areas.• Prepare formal letters, legal notifications, covering letters, reports and monthly claims update.• Preparing sites’ rental/buying contracts.• Supervise & Correspond with out-sourced law firms in order to follow up and settle any legal issue. Enhance contactor & second layer legal capabilities.• Check the legality of ownership in an early stage before starting construction of BTS & HUB sites.

Scope of responsibilities: • Represent the company in front of the external parties.• Check the legality of ownership in an early stage before starting construction and to ensure the accessibility and billability of the sites.• Preparing the site rental/buying contracts.• Supervise & Correspond with the contractor lawyer teams and the outsourced law firms in order to follow up & Solve any legal problem.

Advising: •Providing Egyptian legal advice under supervision to company regulations, joint Venture Companies and associates/subsidiaries on all parts of the business including HR, services, corporate, upstream & downstream procurement, construction, company functions.•Ensure compliance with Egyptian law and general matters such as land, companies, competition, employment, intellectual property, dispute procedures and claims handling.Drafting:•Reviewing, coordinating, drafting and checking of contracts/agreements which clearly reflect the commercial, technical and financial objectives of customers.•Draft and review other documents and materials where there may be legal implications. Negotiations:•Coordinating settlement of disputes with third parties including contractors, suppliers, and partners including negotiating settlements under supervision•Negotiating non-complex contracts or participating in negotiations for higher complexity contracts to ensure company's objectives are met.Corresponding: •Has a wide range of legal commercial experience particularly in the areas of litigation, banking, Company Law and Contract Law. Having spent a number of years as lawyer to various commercial companies, acted for banks, insolvency practitioners and most types of commercial clients, considered as a seasoned commercial litigator with experience in preparing, conducting and advising in all significant types of actions before all tribunals which the business client may consider using, also experienced in negotiating settlements, mediation and other commercial methods of dispute resolution, representing, among others.
