Number of employees in the port is 1300; the Financial Department is represented by 28 employees, consisting of 2 Section Heads, 5 Accountant Supervisors & 21 AccountantResponsibilities included the following: Managing and controlling all of the company’s accounting and financial activities, produce timely management reports on the monthly business performance through providing complete financial presentations to the company’s top management includes highlights for all of the major business aspects, short and long term business forecasting and budgeting, redesign cost accounting by department, maintain healthy cash flow, designing and implementing a complete day-to-day accounting and reporting system, leading the financial part of implementing the operating systems. Determine the adequacy and effectiveness of the company’s Financial and Accounting systems and enforce the company’s policies and procedures when processing financial matters.Having a close contact with the relevant Business units in order to provide financial guidance and decision support, working closely with the business area management in the budget planning and forecasting process and ensure its alignment with the corporate strategic direction, providing the department’s managers with appropriate analysis on the department’s financial performance together with improvement recommendations when & where needed.  Ensure compliance to the accounting principles. Participate in build the company’s chart of accounts. Preparing monthly and periodically financial statements (Balance sheet – Income Statement – Cash Flow). Preparing monthly and snapshots analysis for operation volume, revenue, cost, overheads …….etc.  Participating in Budget preparation. Prepare out side deliverables and requirements (Auditors, banks and potential investors). Supervise payable, receivable & treasury accountants in preparing day to day accounting entries. Review the completeness and accuracy of books and controlling closing adjustment JVs (Accruals– Depreciation – Amortization – Etc ) before monthly closing procedures. Monitoring and controlling the company's bank facilities & bank reconciliations. Review the intercompany transactions and related JVs and reconciliations. Preparing daily and weekly cash position. Monitoring and controlling suppliers and contractors contracts.
