ORASCOM CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRIES (OCI) : Projects Control Department: Working as Planning Engineer .Tender stage:• Manage the entire planning activities for major contracts.• Research and prepare preliminary projects studies. • Understand project work scope, needs, deliverables, milestones and then estimate budget quantities, cost and duration resources.• Plan and schedule projects activities progress using primavera P6.1 and P8.1 (Primavera Project Enterprise). • Design WBS (work break down structure) and assign activity codes for activities.• Perform cost loading and resource assignment.• Establish milestone for the total project or major portions of the project.• Prepare all resource histograms according to the company's productivity rates for materials and manpower.Active stage:• Maintain all the daily site progress, perform gradual monitoring and allocate the project materials, and assign the resources by using Primavera software.• Responsible for gathering the project remarks from the site engineers and update the same to the project manager.• Responsible for analyzing the original status of the project and to find the critical path and the WBS (work break down structure).• Assigned to spot any delays in projects and responsible for fixing the breakdowns. • Prepare engineers plans, drawings, specifications and cost estimates by cost loading and resources assignment.
