Responsibilities:1- Consultant to the government on implementation of its vision to create a friendly environment to attract FDI in Kuwait;2- Dealing with Government institutions through debating, negotiating and closing some of the most valuable agreements among Kuwaiti Government institutions, as a focal point of communication with investors and other stakeholders to fulfil all the requirements and maintain updates;3- Conducting extensive legal research, responding inquiries and providing legal advice regarding market access with respect to FDI, Contracts Management, Tenders, Procurements, International Trade, Corporate Governance, Offset Program and Special Economic Zones;4- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a broad range of contracts and legal documents on behalf of various departments, including public tenders, procurements, service contracts, supplier contracts, outsourcing, professional and support services;5- Taking control of big projects and executing them to the fullest by reviewing the deliverables, engagement and mastering of the various work streams in the projects aiming for the delivery and submission of sensible and practical views in cooperation with Projects and Contracts Managers;6- Managing disputes and litigation matters in coordination with external lawyers;7- Evaluate legal risks and develop procedures to mitigate such risks by investigating and analysing problems to propose recommendations and options for solutions;8- Working closely with the Board of Directors as general counsel in advising and co-drafting, along with government entities, the amendments and changes to relevant laws and regulations;9- Setting and maintaining the tone for the organizational legal, ethical, and compliance culture between the Board and executive management.10- Provide the day-to-day technical guidance to the team working on KDIPA including.
