Currently working, volunteering and gaining experience as a Physical Therapy Aide at Jersey Physical Therapys' two clinical locations. Duties as an aide are described as follows:Maintained a clean and safe gym environment for all who enter the facility. This included wiping all hard surfaces with Lysol products, all equipment needed for the Physical Therapists use, all gym equipment for the patients use, and all attending areas where skin to surface contact is present. This also included maintaining an ample amount of clean towels at all times for proper use. Prepared equipment and work areas for every patient prior to their arrival. Gave instructions, guided, and assisted patients through their indicated treatment plan according to the Physical Therapists' recommendations. Performed clerical work for the office, in place of the secretary's working from home. These duties included welcoming and signing in patients as they arrived, collecting co-pays, making copies of patient information to be stored within the facilities' PT computer system, and creating, confirming, or cancelling any appointments by patients' request. I would also keep track of all mail, faxes, and invoices coming into the office to later be organized and sent to the appropriate secretary.
