About Amr Abdel Dayem

Having spent over two decades rotating around all the engineering disciplines that shape the M&E sphere by holding various SME roles in video and software engineering, network and systems, Post Production and VFX pipelines, signal flow and low voltage, I found that the most rewarding experience is to lead talented engineers. It has been a true privilege to observe how the different engineers in my team learn, grow and eventually transcend above the simple tasks to design their best solutions as the top architects in the industry. In my current role, my mission is to assist my talented team to grow into their full potential while delivering some of the biggest landmark projects that M&E has ever seen. I live in the intersection between engineering, product/program management, strategic planning and leadership.I have been very fortunate to work for some of the best studios in the universe and to study at some of the best schools in the world. I continued to architect video solutions fulfilling the various production groups needs for encoding/transcoding, storage and delivery solutions.August 2015 - June 2018 > Broadcast Network Engineering @ Disney ABC Television Group:This role was with Disney ABC Television Group which later became WDT. During this tenure, I worked in the Broadcast Network Engineering team in Hollywood. I was recognized as the campus' SME on encoding and streaming services. My projects spun the gamut of media transformation, storage and delivery.
