About Anne Rainville, Phd

My field of expertise is the dynamic interplay between governments and markets, and how the demand-side can be leveraged to trigger and steer innovation. I enjoy crossing the boundary between academic research and on-the-ground practice, developing decision-support methodologies for complex problems. Connecting theory and practice in this way serves as a driver to improving public procurement processes and outcomes, and informs policy measures. I serve as an expert reviewer for the European Commission's Horizon 2020 and Horizon Europe on innovation procurement, and have presented upon invitation for the World Bank and United Nations.
