An economics teacher by DNA and an education campaigner by passion working towards furthering the cause of education globally. I come from a family that has dedicated 50 years to education with both my parents being teachers and founders of one of the oldest and most respected schools in Gorakhpur, St. Pauls's in Uttar Pradesh, India.This background and upbringing have fueled my passion for education to contribute in whatever way I can towards education globally. During this journey I have had the privilege of conceptualising, planning and creating large-scale educational projects like the Macedonia Education City, Balkan Peace Festival, gated education community in Bangladesh and more. I worked passionately to build schools and run schools. I have established strategic alliances and collaborations between leading universities all over the world. I have spoken at national and international forums such as the House of Commons at the British Parliament, the London School of Economics and the National Congress of Education in India to name a few.I have been fortunate to have some of my work recognized globally as I was honoured with the “Freeman to the City of London” for my contribution to the development of education.I was also appointed Royal Emissary to His Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, King of the Ashanti Kingdom, Ghana in recognition of my commitment to socio-economic development.As the Founder and Vice Chairman of CEL (Chandra Edu Links), an educational services company I work with world-class educational institutions and governments to shape the future of education.With the wide philanthropic work that my family is engaged in, Project Out of School Children is personally very dear to me. A not-for-profit Project OoSC is a unique container school concept and a one-world one-textbook curriculum for the 127 million OUT OF SCHOOL CHILDREN in the Commonwealth countries with a special focus on the 17.7 million out-of-school children from that in India.Under Project OoSC I am delighted to roll out our new proud agenda of propelling the UN SDGs - The Canvas. The Canvas is the world's first student SDG initiative to accelerate the awareness and action of sustainable development goals.
