• Design, layout, routing (in Altium Designer) & debugging of rigid and flex analog, digital, mixed signal, high speed, HDI and power PCBs• Embedded software development in C to implement high bandwidth gimbal stabilization, pointing, tracking using fast steering mirrors, motors, rate gyroscopes, inertial measurement units, and inertial navigation systems• Design and implementation of pointing, acquisition & tracking (PAT) for free space optical systems• MATLAB/Simulink & Python modeling and analysis of control systems, actuators and sensors• Control system tuning using in-house built system identification tool• Extended Kalman filter development and implementation• Implement field oriented control based commutation of three-phase permanent magnet synchronous motors using application specific PCBs I designed and tested• Ownership of the printed circuit board design and review process• Electrical system design & requirements definition• Technical management and mentoring of junior engineers• Initiate and maintain vendor relationships
