With over two decades of experience in the library industry, specializing in library systems management, data migration, and cutting-edge technology implementation, I bring a wealth of expertise to the table. At Qatar National Library (QNL), I played a key role in preparing for the new National Library building by deploying library and IT solutions.I have demonstrated expertise in library science, managing technical procedures, policies, and resources effectively. Leveraging my technical proficiency, I optimize resource usage and achieve strategic objectives. As a technically perceptive professional, I identify cost-saving solutions, streamline workflow processes, and offer technical support when needed.During my career journey, some of my key achievements include successfully converting millions of records to MARC21 across various systems (Unicorn, Symphony, Millennium, Sierra) and integrating RFID and book sorter systems. I introduced in QNL a 2D maps solution for book location, implemented inventory robots and lending machines, supported mobile app and chatbot development, and spearheaded AI initiatives for cataloging, research services, and data analytics solutions.My experience spans commercial, national, and academic library sectors, encompassing library systems management, requirements gathering, evaluation, procurement, contract negotiation, system implementation, and interoperability.
