Mechanical Design Engineer | Raymarine | Fareham- Research, Design and Analyse early mechanical design concepts for NPI product.- Applied SolidWorks 3D & 2D for generating conceptual models and drawings and manage CAD file using Solidworks EPDM.- Conduct and lead detailed Product teardown analysis on existing products.- Design and plan the assembly process of test rig for product testing while complying with H&S standards.- Planned a documented sea trial test operation to collect data to support generation of product design specification.

Undertook a role as an Engineering intern across two different departments; Technical Functions and Manufacturing Engineering Department of Chassis Systems Control Division with a focus on Generation 9 Hydraulics unit ABS/ESP assembly production line. Assigned with various task such as:- International Production Network support- Daily check of Cycle time for all Machines and report bottleneck stations- Standard instruction documents and balance sheet creation (according to Bosch production system method)- Take/send technical information from/to other BOSCH plants for modification- International KAIZEN meeting support to roll out and announce information- BOSCH Production System analysis to evaluate ergonomics points- Process inlets design change to optimize machine First Pass Yield capability- Promaster production base data maintenance- Production Support at cell 74 Minomi station

- Based in the testing department, responsible for repairing multiple new and used hard drives by running tests to scan for any defects, registering into the stock system and packing it according to the requirements to avoid damage.- Ensuring good quality of the product by executing defined test procedures and continuously developing the procedures.- Preventing potential waste of used hard drives by rigorously testing, logging data and analysing result to make an informed judgement on whether to scrap, retest or resell the hard drive for second-hand use.- Liaising with logistic and management team to decide on achievable shipment deadline.- Restocking specific types of the hard drive under a tight schedule and short notice when required by prioritizing certain tests with a limited number of test stations to prepare the right products on time. - Establishing and maintaining a co-operative relationship with department members from human resource, management & logistics by providing the necessary support and cover ranging from manual reallocation of stocks to updating necessary documentation for shipment.- Ensuring smooth handover of task by training and instructing trainee technician thoroughly.
