As a research assistant at University of Illinois Chicago, I am working on an innovative project that aims to improve the management of Google Drive files using metrics of privacy and usefulness. I am applying my skills in React, Astro build, Tailwind-CSS, and Supabase to implement features for this project, which is funded by a prestigious grant.I am also a master's student in computer science at UIC, with a keen interest in data science and machine learning. I have taken courses in machine learning, artificial intelligence, and advanced machine learning, and I have completed a certification in Python for data science from Microsoft. I aim to apply my knowledge and passion for data science and machine learning to solve real-world problems and create societal value. Before joining UIC, I had 3+ years of industry experience as a software engineer at Barclays, where I was part of the Process Automation CoE. I was involved in creating intelligent automation solutions that leveraged RPA, jQuery, Python scripts, and RESTful APIs to automate manual tasks or migrate data from legacy systems, saving millions of dollars annually. I also worked on car insurance and car damage prediction models using kNN, K-means, and Siamese network, achieving high accuracy and performance. I was nominated for best deliveries in 2019 as the lead developer for a Know-Your-Customer project that used BluePrism, VB, VBA, and AWS. I also mentored 5 junior developers and designed multiple end-to-end solution architectures.
