Enhancing Indic Oral Culture on Wikimedia projects
Needs assessment for documentation and revitalization of Indic languages using Wikimedia projects
I am working on languages (at least one of them endangered) and culture by documenting them and making them shareable. I hope to build a toolkit that will enable other people to document more languages in Indian contexts. This project has extreme relevance to India which has currently has 197 languages in the endangered category list. Check out the grant page for more details- https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Grants:Project/Rapid/Oral_Culture_Transcription_Toolkit
Dehradun, Uttarakhand, India
Working with students made me a better communicator while soaking in the joy of imparting critical thinking to several receptive minds.
