• Successfully established a novel fabrication method to mimic the dynamic architecture of chromatophores (organ populated with pigment particles underlying in the dermal layer of squid) for improve understanding of photophysical relationship (like absorption, transmittance, reflectance and scattering) of pigment particle population and color modulation • Demonstrated flexible electrochemical color changing device using biopigment• Designed and executed synthesis of organic dye (pH and redox responsive) encapsulated biodegradable nanoparticles and explored photophysics for photonic application (IR coating and biomedical sensor) • Currently developing prototype novel multifunctional biodegradable cosmetic ingredient that could be used as UV blocker, antioxidant and anti-aging agent
