I have finished my degree at Kwantlen Polytechnic University in Health Science where I have learned about advanced biology, chemistry, as well as human anatomy and physiology. Some courses I have taken of interest were about health program planning and evaluation, plus a senior seminar about global health which had me contemplate the Canadian health system and different modes of health worldwide. Furthermore, these classes have taught me that outside influences can affect a person’s health such as social, working, cultural, environmental, and socioeconomic factors that are in the determinants of health. Besides theoretical work, I have completed hands-on experiences in laboratories such as histology slide preparation, gene cloning, and bacterial growth using aseptic techniques with the highest regard for laboratory safety.I have worked with Canadian Blood Services as a Student Recruiter for the national stem cell registry and as a Logistics Attendant. The focus of this job is to recruit individuals to become stem cell donors in different events as well as aid the Canadian Blood Sevices in making a program where secondary students, as well as post-secondary nursing students, will assist in recruiting new stem cell donors. In logistics, I aided members in receiving products and sending items to the correct departments as well as transporting blood boxes from the logistics department to the blood product distribution area. Some interests I have are playing sports such as basketball and volleyball plus watching other sports like soccer, football, formula 1, or ice hockey. A passion I have picked up and liked is trying to fix broken-down technology that does not work by diagnosing the issue and looking up the solution in forums or online videos. Other activities I enjoy are walking my dog, watching Youtube videos on electronics and everyday news, or trying to learn a musical instrument like the guitar.
