Prior to scoring film and television projects Amritha Vaz was a human rights attorney, so she’s very interested in helping tell stories with purpose. She started her composer career writing with Academy Award winning composer Mychael Danna on "500 Days of Summer", and has since scored a number of films on her own. Amritha was selected as one of six composers for the 2016 Sundance Composer Lab, she plays many instruments, and is comfortable writing in a range of styles. She recently scored an episode of the Emmy nominated AppleTV series "Home", and is currently writing the score for the Disney animated series "Mira, Royal Detective".
