CurrentSelected contributions include;·• Processed garnet-type ceramics, Li7La3(Zr, Hf)2O12 and Li5La3(Nb, Ta)2O12, as potential electrolytes for Li-ion batteries through the conventional solid-state reaction.• Fabricated and sintered the pellets of the ceramics for characterization and measurement.• Employed X-ray powder diffraction to analyze the crystal structure of ceramics and scanning electron microscopy with electron dispersive spectroscopy to study their microstructure.• Studied the phase transformation of Li7La3(Zr 0.9Hf0.1)2O12 from tetragonal to cubic phase with High-Temperature X-ray (HTXRD) and Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS). • Synthesized cubic Li5La3(NbTa)2O12 garnet and investigated crystal structure and ionic conductivity as a function of sintering temperature.• Fabricated symmetric cell (Li/LLNTO/Li) with Li5La3Nb0.2Ta1.8O12 garnet ceramics and studied cyclicstability as a solid-state electrolyte. • Performed analysis for electrochemical impedance spectroscopy data related to Li7-stuff and Li5- stuff garnet solid-state electrolytes using a Python package, impedance.py.
