Currently a Lead UX Engineer on a Process Automation Platform leveraging Azure DevOps to facilitate the generation of Actuarial reporting outputs for multiple workstreams. Previously, Lead UX Engineer for a strategic change program aimed at overhauling an ageing desktop-based policy administration platform (ALPHA), which consisted of over 200 legacy Visual Basic desktop applications. I played a pivotal role in transforming it to a modern cloud-based application (ALPHA Thin Client).Through my practical application of UX Engineering strategies, the program effectively evolved from custom hand coded prototypes and demonstrations to a fully developed Thin Client application. This application was successfully launched and is currently used by approximately 2,000 users across various global locations servicing circa 2M+ pension policies for Reassure and 650K for Aviva.

Lead UX Engineer apart of the Technical Architect Team on a significant change program to transform an ageing desktop-based policy administration platform (ALPHA), which administers millions of active policies originating from multiple closed books of Life and Pensions business, into a new Angular based Web application (ALPHA Thin Client).I became involved in the program during a critical phase of development, where it faced challenges in aligning with stakeholder expectations due to insufficient UI/UX guidance, putting the program at risk of cancellation.By leveraging my problem-solving abilities, taking a hands-on approach of UX Engineering strategies, we successfully overcame these challenges and evolved from custom-coded prototypes to a fully functional application, which underwent a successful launch and was embraced by more than 1,500 internal users, resulting in significant operational efficiencies.Strategies used:• Engaged in collaboration with various cross-functional teams, both onshore and offshore, to ensure that business constraints and requirements were considered into solutions addressing user needs and challenges.• Adopted a hands-on approach by working closely with developers and testers to integrate prototypes into live builds, ensuring adherence to quality standards.• Developed custom UI components using HTML/CSS for integration within the Angular framework.• Articulated a clear vision and objectives to stakeholders, testers, developers, and users through custom hand-coded interactive prototypes that illustrated the user interface, experience, and journey.• Actively responded to user feedback and evolving business requirements to enhance the user interface, accessibility, and overall experience.
