Shimla By-Pass ProjectActing head of Structures. Scope of works in this project consists of construction of 13 major and minor bridges across 27 km of Greenfield highway alignment. I am directly responsible for planning, execution, QA/QC of all bridges that consists of a cable stayed bridge, 03 balanced cantilever bridges, 01 incrementally launched composite deck bridge and 09 other major and minor composite deck bridges.

$3 billion design and build Dubai Metro Rail Route 2020 projectI worked as Superintendent in the pre cast yard for Dubai Metro 2020 project. Scope of pre casting works in this project consists of producing a total of 3144 segments of varying configuration (ISO Double track, ISO Single track, Balanced Cantilever Segments and Station span segments). I am directly responsible for casting of 1465 segments (47% of total scope). 935 typical and 530 Expansion joint segments. Working in the capacity of Superintendent, I am handling a team of 03 Engineers, 04 supervisors, 14 foremen and 130 workers. My job responsibilities here include – Review and understanding of Method Statements/Procedures and Quality Control Documents. Prepare checklists for various operations related to segmental construction. Provide site supervision to ensure works are carried out in accordance with project specifications. I ensure that standards of HSE are always implemented in my work area. I attend and monitor all operations related to mould assembly, mould closure, opening and segment lifting. Provide leadership and training to team of Engineers, Supervisors and Foremen on segmental manufacturing, finishing and handling operations in accordance with method statements and procedures. Instruct and organize workforce to complete required tasks. Liase with Plant and Workshop Manager for plant and equipment services. Carry out routine inspections for machinery maintainence. Approval of daily time sheets and keeping a daily diary for record purposes.

We had 20 Launching Girders in total and each Girder had to be inspected and audited every week.Providing feedback to the top management regarding the safety aspects of the Launching Girders.Review of technical submissions by various package contractors.Preparing training modules for the supervising site staff to educate them on the technical and safety aspects of the Launching Girders relative to their respective packages.Conducting training and assessment of site staff based on the training provided to them.Assisting the Senior Resident Engineer in reporting the progress of all 20 Launching Girders for submission to the Construction Director.Acting Resident Engineer (Viaducts) - Supervision of construction of approx. 8 km elevated viaduct for package V8 KVMRT Project, which involved:-Construction of Piers, Pier Heads, Cross Beams, Hammerhead Piers.Erection of Segmental Box Girders (Single track and Double track) with Mechanized Self Launching Girders/Gantries.Construction of Balanced Cantilever Spans by Segment Lifter/Crane (Pre-Cast) and Form Traveler (Cast-In-Situ) methods.Review of Method Statements and other technical submissions.Interface between the Employer Representative and the Works Package Contractor.Supervise and train the Inspector of Works at site.Ensuring the implementation of all SHE rules and regulations at site.Attend progress meetings and Technical discussions and resolve Technical Queries raised by the contractor.Co-ordinate between the Detailed Design Consultant and the Works Package Contractor in technical matters.

Working as Project Coordinator (Special Projects), I acted as a single point of contact for all coordination activities related to Planning, Monitoring, Procurement, Workforce organization, Identification of major suppliers and sub-contractors, Negotiations in terms of rates and scope of work, Assisted in Project Documentation and Preparation of Monthly Reports for the Management. Project coordination for 5.5km Precast Balanced Cantilever Bridge under construction over river Ganges in Bihar (India).

Worked as Marketing / Tendering Manager, managing marketing, estimation and tendering team.Report on Identified Projects and scope of works.Prepare kick-off reports and conduct meetings.Prepare Tender submissions.Prepare Tender Monthly reports on Targets (India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka Projects)Prepare Job Transfer documents.Report on clients complaints with respect to quality and management and follow up actions for the same.Maintain awareness of the market situation.

Worked as Incharge of erection team.Attainments:Responsible for fabrication, erection of underslung and overhead launching girders.Successfully erected the first two spans using underslung system.Erection of special overhead L.G (with hinges system) to erect spans with steep horizontal radii to the tune of 150m.Calculation and fabrication of different temporary structures required for the erection of launching systems. (Around 300 MT)Played a major role in setting up of the kinematics for the L.G. for different span configurations. (32.25m, 35.75m, 37.5m, 46.5m

Overseeing production from 04 nos. casting beds (one beam per mould per day).Attainments:Setting up of precasting yard for INDIAS FIRST MONORAIL PROJECT.Successfully handled the construction and commissioning of 01 Beam casting moulds & completed assembly and erection of different beam moulds as per schedule.Efficiently handled the critical and typical moulds for beams ranging from 24m to 32m.Played a major role in casting the mockup beam and starting production.

Overseeing production from 12 nos. shortline beds (one segment per mould per day).Attainments:Member of the team for the construction of Viaduct for Dubai Light Rail Transit System. (Red + Green Line)Responsible for the construction of foundation work for 08 gantry tracks (6400 rm) & layout and setup for water and air networks.Successfully handled the construction and commissioning of foundation for 10 longline beds & completed assembly and erection of typical 44m twin spans longline moulds before schedule.Efficiently handled the critical and typical segments for TWIN SPANS and CROSSOVER SPANS.Played a major role in starting production as per schedule, hitting targets every week.Pivotal in achieving the time cycle and production of one segment per mould in a single shift system. Got appreciation from the management for the same.

Worked in Delhi Metro Rail Project Both in Precasting and Erection. Later worked in Regional H.O at New Delhi in planning, contracts and tendering department. Won two projects worth INR 220 crores.

 Preparing Bar Bending Schedule from the approved precast segment drawings and updating the project scheduling in terms of progress at site.  Supervision of Precast Segments Casting (Box Type with Deck Slab) for straight and curved spans in pre-casting yard consisting of 11 pre-casting beds with an output of average 165 segments per month.  Launching of precast segments by Auto Launching Girder having a time cycle of 3 days & grouting of the ducts. Involved in the setting up of the Casting Yard for precast segment production consisting of total 11 nos. beds:o 3 nos. long line beds for segment pre-casting; curved as well as straight spans.o 4 nos. short line beds for pre-casting straight spans.o 4 nos. pier segment beds.
