Chemical Engineer with 16 years of Process and Operations’ hands-on experience in the hydrocarbon industry (Onshore / Offshore / LPG / Gas Processing / Oil Processing / FPSO / FSO / Utilities), approved by the TÜV NORD as PHA & HAZOP Leader. Amr has fifteen years of experience in process/operations hands-on simulation, downstream including pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up of process & utilities units in the oil and gas. My career began with Gulf of Suez Petroleum Company (GUPCO), while working with GUPCO I worked on a LPG processing plant (Ras Shukier gas plant with capacity of 220 MMSCFD) with focus on Gas-processing units such as Separation, Compression, DEA Sweetening system, Molecular Sieve & TEG Dehydration Systems and Fractionation. My experiences with GUPCO allowed me to build a reputable Operational and technical background which is why I participated in FAT, SAT, Precommissioning, Commissioning and Startup for new projects inside and outside Egypt.I was employed with Weatherford for Commissioning and Startup of two Oil Processing Plants (Zubair IPF and Rafidiya IPF) in Basrah, Iraq. The Zubair and Rafidiya Oil Fields are two crude oil and gas processing plants with 50000 BOPD/each and 45 MMSCFD/each. Each Field (IPF) contains one crude processing train with associated gas compression, produced water treatment, storage, utilities and safety systems. The train consist of two and three phase Separators, Heat Exchangers, Fired Heaters, Electrostatic Dehydrator and Electrostatic Desalter.Also, I have been appointed as Process Commissioning Engineer at Zohr development project. The Zohr Development Project consists of new Greenfield gas-processing facilities, which is supposed to be the supergiant gas discovery in the deep waters of Egypt’s Offshore with 2800 MMSCFD nominal capacity of export Sales Gas at Zohr site in Port Said Governorate. In addition, Zohr Gas Plant contain 4 Sulfur Recovery Units (SRU) and Tail Gas Treatment Units (TGT) to treat Acid Gas extracted from 8 Trains of amine sweetening units (AGR) and 2 Sour Water Stripping Units (SWS)Hands on experience for Process Simulation, Preparation of PFD, UFD and P&ID, Preparation of Process Report, Operating Manual, Design Review, Budget (opex & capex), HAZOP Study & close out etc.
