PhD student at Ghent University in Belgium. I specialize in muon detectors for high-energy physics experiments, with a particular focus on Resistive Plate Chambers (RPCs) and scintillator-based detectors. Over the course of my research, I have successfully developed multiple RPC detectors, some of which are currently deployed and operational at the CMS experiment within CERN's Large Hadron Collider (LHC). Additionally, I have contributed to the development of small-scale portable RPC detectors for muon radiography, enabling the imaging of large-scale objects like volcanoes and pyramids. I am actively involved in a project applying muon radiography to study the active volcano Mt. Vesuvius in Naples, Italy, utilizing scintillator-based muon hodoscopes. My expertise extends to conducting simulation studies using particle physics tools such as Geant4, CRY, and CORSIKA, and I have over four years of experience in data analysis, utilizing programming languages like Python, C, C++, and ROOT.
