As a Conservation Commission member, this is a volunteer role with the town I live in and appointed by our Select Board to serve my community through conservation efforts. Our charge is to be responsible for the protection and management of Plymouth's natural resources and the administration of the Massachusetts Wetlands Protection Act.

• Provides administrative support to the Division of Research.• Coordinates the planning of events and workshops.• Collaborates with Conferences, AV, and MBL Dining with the execution of events for the Division of Research.• Works with Office of Sponsored Programs and DRAO on managing grants through the awards process.• Manages the Director of Research’s calendar and scheduling of meetings.• Manages the Division of Research public email account.• Assists Senior Research Administrator with visiting researcher registrations and building card access requests.• Manages multiple PCard accounts and reconciles transactions on a monthly basis.• Interfaces with the Finance department to submit reimbursement requests, payment of invoices, set up of new accounts, submits purchase orders and payment requests.• Communicates with the Housing department for visiting researcher registration changes.• Relays event information to resident and visiting researchers.• Manages multiple email distribution lists and updates them regularly with new employees or terminations.

• Effectively manages local commercial and recreational shellfisheries while enforcing local and state regulations pertaining to aquaculture and wild harvest shellfishing.• Collaborates with the Town Shellfish Committee on updating local regulations, enhancement to local shellfisheries, addressing ongoing issues, and listening to the public’s problems or ideas.• Assists with Piping Plover monitoring and land management projects, i.e., trail maintenance, cleaning up dumped trash, maintaining Town gardens, after storm assessments, etc.• Supervises seasonal Natural Resource Officers and responds to numerous injured wildlife calls, assessing animals and transporting to local wildlife rehab facilities.• Writes permits for Town propagation projects and writes comments for NOI (Notice of Intent) permitting processes.• Facilitated Swan Pond Aquaculture Pilot Project – partnered with WHOI and Ward Aquafarms to grow oysters for nitrogen mitigation measurements as a Wastewater alternative.• MSOA Climate Resilience Grant Program - assisted in writing grant proposal and implementation of rain gauges across Towns for the purpose of documenting rainfall to assist in fisheries management and climate change monitoring.
