About Alexander Starikov

In childhood I drew a lucky ticket in 7th grade when passed exams to bilingual boarding school. Not only did it provide me with proficiency in English and Turkish but it ensured top level education as well and crucially expanded the range of my future career alternatives.My first higher education is "Economics and Management" and my diploma was devoted to market risk assessment models for commercial banks. After graduating I spent 6 years in corporate banking having passed all the stages from Treasury and Finance Department via Transactional and Broker Products Development to Corporate Investing Banking. I sincerely appreciate this professional period that provided me with confidence in complex and stressful business cases in the future career tracks.6 years ago I met Teach for Russia founders at some kind of Ted talks for kids. All was so stunning and empowering that since 2017 I'm still answering the most frequently asked question whether I was mentally healthy to shift from banking industry to social sphere =) Nevertheless, this led to opening new pages of my life as teacher and program participant, head of Kaluga region for program development, school principal and owner of program for principals’ professional development. This also motivated me to get my second higher education in Management of Education in HSE.Both these milestones opened doors to alumni communities of “Teach for Russia” program, a partner of global network of independent and led locally in 60+ countries organizations whose mission is to expand educational opportunities for children through impactful social projects and leadership, and of HSE University, a powerful network for professional and academic cooperation.At the moment I am plunged into corporate solutions in well-being at the sport, health and education spheres’ intersection, and continue supporting my journey of life-long learning. I've also become a part of international alumni network of 1500+ global leaders from 115 countries providing international expertise and mentor support, and I’m looking forward to that it’ll boost my future projects in well-being and edtech spheres.I enjoy meeting new people and hearing new perspectives.
