Dr. Aaron Studwell is an entrepreneur with a passion for sports and the sciences. Upon completing his doctoral research in Atmospheric Science, Aaron launched ExoConsulting, LLC, a business development company that operates in three distinct sectors.Chesapeake Analytics – Conducts business development for leading weather, climate, and environmental intelligence platforms;EC Sports Management – Provides sponsorship acquisition and business development services. We are a U.S. Soccer Federation-approved intermediary (agent). Our company represents over 20 athletes, five coaches, two race teams, and an online racing platform; andRaceWeather – Performs operational weather forecasting & nowcasting for five race series around the world.Dr. Studwell is an experienced sports management leader with a comprehensive track record in soccer, motorsports, and football. He is also accomplished scientist skilled in guiding diverse teams, fostering strong professional networks, and driving cutting-edge research. Aaron was one of the first meteorologists in the energy trading sector working in senior research and forecasting roles. Additionally, Dr. Studwell was an early innovator in weather risk management, establishing weather trading desks within two commodity trading companies. His career continued into leadership and research roles in meteorology & the environmental sciences, across both the upstream and downstream sides of the energy sector. Before returning to academia full-time in 2019, he was the Marine Team Lead for DTN-Wilkens Weather, where he oversaw the company’s marine forecasting operations in their Houston, Texas office. In 2020, Dr. Studwell earned his Doctor of Philosophy in Atmospheric Science at the University of Houston. He earned a Master of Science in Meteorology from Texas A&M University, along with a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Michigan. He maintains professional memberships in the American Geophysical Union, the American Meteorological Society, & the North American Society for Sports Management.
