As a trainee, I worked in three different teams in rotations of six months. Firstly dipping my toes in frontend development, followed by work as a data scientist and finishing with backend development.

Worked in multiple interdisciplinary projects in international project groups, including:- an independent automation project for NGI's lab; - requirement engineering for a large IT project as part of NGI's strategy for 2021, and functional testing of a Proof of Concept; and- investigated the use of evolutionary algorithms and artificial neural networks for solving geotechnical challenges such as pile load capacity and bedrock surface models.

Researched tools for synthesising tabular data, including a text corpus, as part of a team of six. My main responsibility was as a data engineer and software engineer. Synthesization of a dataset was motivated by anonymisation, and would allow sampling of new data with similar properties as the original dataset. Machine learning libraries were used to test the usefulness of the synthesised data. This was combined with a recursive neural network for generating text from seed words.
