Past projects include: • Helped build a new media company for James O'Keefe after his departure from Project Veritas.• Engaged by a $7 billion asset portfolio to create a product to facilitate collateralized bond transactions. • Launched blockchain fund to assist owners of $100 million+ Bitcoin and Ethereum wallets generating current income from their stakes while avoiding market-moving sales.• Engaged by an insurance company to design and develop a software tool to provide deep insights into risk distribution, rate, and premium benchmarking with detailed exposure data.• Engagement with stalled telecom startup to build a plan to either sell or grow the marginally profitable company.Currently working with Generative AI and other foundation models like OpenAI's ChatGPT to help large companies automate tasks that were previously done by humans, increasing efficiency and productivity, reducing costs, and opening up new opportunities for growth.

My partner and I rolled up several media businesses including a five-city digital newspaper, a socialite event calendar, and a dating app. We then merged the rollup with Gow Media creating a new company consisting of a portfolio of digital content sites including CultureMap, SportsMap, InnovationMap, and AutomotiveMap. We also own two popular sports radio stations in Houston including ESPN 97.5FM and SportsMap Radio and a 500-station national sports radio network.

SMB technology support provider levering onshore and offshore teams combined with flat-fee billing. Served in various roles at the bootstrapped company for over 14 years ultimately selling to PE-backed competitor. Served as founding CEO and then as Chief of Staff to CEO. Related but Separate Ventures: Launched two large open-source projects built on Ruby on Rails used by millions of developers under the Big in Japan brand. Built video sharing platform Fancast that was acquired by Comcast Interactive (NASDAQ: CMCSA). Incubated ShopSavvy until venture raise.

Built the first third-party mobile app for Android. Winner of the first Android Developer Challenge, the app was featured in the launch of Google’s first smartphone (the G1). App allowed users to scan product barcodes to determine availability and price from more than 250K online and brick-and-mortar retailers. Grew to over 100M native users and millions more through licensing to companies including Best Buy, Walmart, and Consumer Reports. Raised $5M in venture capital to expand team and facilitate eventual sale to strategic buyer.

Early entrant to carrier-neutral data center space building facilities in TX, FL, IL, MO, CA, and NY. Venture-backed by Soros, Crest, Cisco, and ADC. Filed Chapter 11 during telecom collapse. Raised additional capital to reorganize under 363 and eventually sold for a 600% investor return to a company called Equinix (NASDAQ: EQIX). Unsuccessfully attempted to buy the Palo Alto Internet Exchange from debtor (Abovenet) in a very unique, and controversial sale.
