M Anand is a Green Building Professional, at CII - Sohrabji Godrej Green Business Centre- CII’s Centre of Excellence on Green Business and Environmental Management, located at Hyderabad. He is the Principal Counsellor and a senior team member of CII’s Indian Green Building Council (IGBC) since 1996. He has work experience spanning over 30 years.Anand is closely involved in facilitating Government, Architects, Builders, Corporate & Institutions in designing green buildings as per IGBCs GREEN building rating systems. Thus far, he has enabled over 200 clients in incorporating green designs in building design & construction. Anand shares India’s perspectives at World Green Building Council’s Forums and has attended meetings / sessions at Australia, Brazil, Canada, Dubai, Germany, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Mauritius, Singapore, South Africa, Guinness World Records has awarded Anand, with Certification of Participation as a “Speaker” in 2019. He is also a TEDx speaker. He brings to fore his rich and varied experience and expertise on green built environment and sustainability.He has trained professionals on green building concepts and has conducted more than 250 training programmes on green buildings all over the Country and in Singapore and Dubai. He was instrumental in launching the online IGBC Accredited Professional (AP) Exam and over 100 IGBC Students’ Chapters in premier Architectural & Engineering colleges across India. He is leading a team of over 40 professionals, who are involved in the spread & growth of green building movement in India, since the inception of IGBC in 2001. Experienced Senior Counselor with a demonstrated history of working in the non-profit organization management industry.
