In my new role I will execute CoC monitoring and compliance procedures for CoC funded programs. I will identify community training needs, provider technical assistance to awardees to address any program gaps and needs, and will establish a structure that ensures our CoC program aligns with the San Diego CoC and RTFH goals. In addition, I will coordinate with our financial team to review funding and program performance of all CoC funded programs.

Conduct in depth assessments and intake of veteran households to determine program eligibility for a rapid re housing program and other referral services as needed.

SSVF (Supportive Services for Veteran Families) Program- Responsible for effectively addressing the housing needs of veteran families by connecting them with appropriate resources, developing community partnerships, and assessing the needs of veterans and their families.

Implement individualized programs designed by experienced supervised staff and use ABA, DTT, PECS,PRT and or VB methodology to help enhance the quality of life for individuals and families impacted with Autism or other special needs. Services are provided in the home,community, and in school settings to help with mastery and generalization of learned skills.

Support and supervise 14-17 year old youth in a group home setting.Help youth stay safe and prepare them for the transition into adulthood through the development of independent living skills and educational and recreational activities.

Supervision of youth ages 1-6 years old in a private child care setting.

I worked within two separate programs: Independent Living and Supported Employment at Community Interface Services. I served consumers in the South Bay area in the following focus areas: personal care, money management, meal preparation, household management, shopping, relationship building,safety, transportation, parenting, job searching, job skills, and accessing community resources. My main role was to help adults with development disabilities integrate into the community and become more self-sufficient.

In charge of managing volunteers at 15 different learning center sites located on CHW affordable housing properties all over San Diego County. Also provided support within the community development department, youth & family programs & services, and resource development department. An important aspect of this position was on developing and strengthening community partnerships within the local community. The following training courses were taken through the NeighborWorks Training Institute, NeighborWorks America, 2009.

Completed 1,700 community service project hours and 80 independent service hours within the Southwest and Gulf coast regions over a 10 month period. Worked with NGOs and government organizations to address issues involving: education, disaster relief/recovery, public safety, environmental issues, housing, and other unmet needs.

Help youth enrolled in the Summer Residential program excel in academics by providing academic and social supports. High school students attended UCSD to complete General Education requirements needed to pursue higher education.

I was responsible for a case load of students enrolled under our Student Support Services Program. I provided mentership to incoming freshman and transfer students at UCSD through one to one sessions. Sessions focused on: Academics, Social Awareness, Relationships, Career Interests, Integration, Family, Culture, Safety, etc.As an OLC facilitator I instructed a small seminar for freshman students that met once a week. Topics included: Social Networking/ Social Involvement, Career/Academic Counseling, Financial Aid & Budgeting, etc.

At CCL I was in charge of helping a pilot program come to full fruition. The Young Womens Leadership Program was developed to provided leadership opportunities to college bound low income or disadvantaged females in the 10th and 11th grade. High school students would attend a summer program full of workshop designed to develop: Self awareness, self confidence, leadership skills, and community service. At the end of the program young ladies would walk away with a mentor from the local community the development of a service learning project that could be later implemented with the proper coaching and guidance of there community mentor/s..
