In my new role I will execute CoC monitoring and compliance procedures for CoC funded programs. I will identify community training needs, provider technical assistance to awardees to address any program gaps and needs, and will establish a structure that ensures our CoC program aligns with the San Diego CoC and RTFH goals. At CCL I was in charge of helping a pilot program come to full fruition. The Young Womens Leadership Program was developed to provided leadership opportunities to college bound low income or disadvantaged females in the 10th and 11th grade. High school students would attend a summer program full of workshop designed to develop: Self awareness, self confidence, leadership skills, and community service. At the end of the program young ladies would walk away with a mentor from the local community the development of a service learning project that could be later implemented with the proper coaching and guidance of there community mentor/s..
